Tournament
Report
He
went to Miami, jumped in the
ocean, got sand in his shoes
and found his mo jo. Miami
John Cernuto had a good tournament
year, and it culminated here
at the USPC Championship Stud
Event, and it only took 20
short hours. If there were
a way to bottle poker energy,
what a wonderful world it
would be. Pizza for breakfast
and sharing the home of a
local family was how John
and his wife enjoyed their
trip to Italy this past March.
Having lived in Firenze for
2 years, Miami John is accustomed
to the Italian way of life
and appreciates the traditions.
Just as we at the USPC appreciate
the tournament tradition and
the thrill of watching the
final table.
It
was a field of dreams for
Bhnam Ben Razai, to take
2nd place today. After winning
2 out of 4 super satellites,
Ben had dreamt that he won
this championship stud event.
The final table was a sensation
with the spectators, who stayed
well into the morning to watch
the outcome. Many felt this
was the best final table theyve
seen, and we are very pleased
you saw it live at the USPC.
Ben enjoys travel, especially
Europe, with his wife Susan
and their baby daughter. Simple
words to the aspiring...never
give up because dreams do
come true.
Just
20 hours from winning, the
hands were getting mighty
tough. Cards dont fail me
now. 17 hours to go now, raising-raising,
10 more hours to go, final
table...1 more hour to go,
almost home, and its 3rd
for Benjamin Lin. Dynamic
effort!
Joseph
Grunfeld (4th) all in against
Jan Chen(5th) and won with
8s full of Jacks. Joe is
a currency trader who likes
to read and cook. Congratulations
and thank you to all the participants.
