Tournament
Report
Not
since Woodstock has there
been such a holdem revolution!
The games they are a changin.
Low key and spontaneous, the
answer was blowin in the
wind to day for Mickey Appleman,
who has been playing poker
professionally for about 25
years. Concise energy and
focus on the game placed Mickey
in the 1st place position
of todays Limit Holdem Event.
Tournament driven, this sports
better has a passion for meditation
and continually seeking a
personal understanding of
mans awareness of himself.
Not like a rolling stone at
all, Mickey is a family man
with a 15 year old son. No
protest here from the USPC
festival... Mickeys performance
was like rolling thunder.
One
month at the World Series,
pot limit in Victoria, England
and today in Atlantic City,
at the USPC Event #10, Suki
Harrison, cosmopolitan woman,
lover of classical music and
poker player extraordinaire,
gave her rendition of classic
tournament holdem, taking
2nd place. Family members
taught Suki the ranking of
hands, but credit for skill
is all her own. As Willie
Shakespeare said, if poker
be the music of life...play
on!
Mahal,
vacation destination some
5 years ago, produced a professional
poker career for Ping Kwan.
Surprise!....A regular stud
player, Ping locked in a 3rd
place finish in an event he
entered out of interest and
curiosity. With more lives
than a cat, Ping was tough
to come back after several
all-ins. This was a purrrrfect
finish to a hard days work.
A 76ers fan, Ping enjoys travel
and Las Vegas style shows.
Congratulations Ping, you
scored a 3-pointer at the
buzzer!
We
would like to take a moment
to recognize and thank all
of the dealers working so
hard to make the USPC a success!
