Tournament
Report
Out
of the mine shafts of West
Virginia, this 61 tall,
ex-coal miner struck solid
ore as he worked his way through
the poker vein to top 330
other entrants at the USPC
Holdem Event #1. This is
Frank Krolls first tournament
win and we at the Taj are
very happy that it happened
here with us on the day before
his daughters birthday!
You
will not need any gloves,
there is no coal dust here.
And you can all turn off your
flashlights, they will not
be necessary to see what Frank
is proudly hauling in his
wheel barrow,.....it is loaded
with cash, which he anticipates
spending on a family vacation
to Disney World. Congratulations
Frank!
The
height requirement for the
top three finishers was 6.
Standing tall at 61, second
place goes to Anton Grinkevich
who plays avidly on the internet
and has proven that he is
quite adept at heads -up play.
Just this past October, Anton
won a holdem tournament in
Costa Rica. It is simply amazing
to see how far into the depths
of the rainforests poker and
Anton has traveled.
Rising
up from seat number 5, standing
strong at 6, Mr. Gil takes
3rd. Gilbert Sacks is a professional
bridge instructor, so hey,
if youre looking for pointers
on holdem or bridge, just
ask Mr. Gil...he can be found
at the Taj 3-4 days a week
when hes not traveling around
the country.
Congratulations
to all of todays entrants!
Though you were all not standing
6 tall, your efforts, determination
and kindness made you giants.
