Tournament Report

Picture the scene.......No-Limit Holdem on the island of Atlantic City... the field was tough... the terrain full of challenges and 79 eager participants, all wanting to be the toughest... the strongest..the best.... but the survivor, Jim Wilsey, broke through all the obstacles and faced his competitors in a 151/2 hour skirmish to take the 1st place title. This is a first tournament win for Jim, who is both a used car dealer and a real estate investor.

No-limit holdem has been Jims favorite game for about 12 years now. For the holidays, Jim will meet his daughters Katie and Elyse in NYC and after the holidays, its off to Puerto Rico with his lovely fiancee, Doreen, who cheered him on for the duration of the entire event. A February wedding is planned. For tonight...its off to Joey Martinis suite to celebrate, at Jims expense....again!

David Singer fought till the finish, receiving a very admirable 2nd place. A poker professional, David takes his game very seriously and really makes his opponents work. Enjoying traveling, David plans to participate in more tournaments. Keep it up David, youve got what it takes!

Like a bear coming out from under a log, was how the old timers described Frank Armstrong in their poker games, and hence the name Bear stuck with him. Though he has the demeanor of Gentle Ben, Frank played like a grizzly, holding onto his turf in seat 5, just like a honey jar, and finished in 4th place.

This was a very tough final table. Our congratulations go to the participants for their very valiant efforts!
