World
Series of Poker T+15
I'll
make T+15 brief because what I really
want to talk about is T+16. Yesterday
I walked with some friends around Neonopolis,
it's an L.A. type shopping mall with some
historic neon signs from old Las Vegas
displayed, four small levels with a multiplex
movie theater at the top and a food court
below it, a few 'trendy' stores and a
few sidewalk shops, but not much else
open yet, nevertheless a nice addition
to downtown, especially having a convenient
place for movies. The FSE was CROWDED
with two rock bands putting out enough
watts to make all of us say 'watt?' for
the next few hours, and at the Neonopolis
end a quieter Cinco de Mayo group with
dancing. Getting from one end to the other
was a slow process but we had an intrepid
guide with us who had a cell phone that
knew directions and when movies were starting.
At the top of the Neonopolis is a very
good viewing area of the crowd below.
One of the rock groups had started practicing
in the morning at 9.03 a.m,. for an hour,
12 minutes, and 13 seconds. Ask me how
I know. Ask me if I was grumpy all day.
The
evening super sat had 3 seats and some
cash, Dave Lamb expects the numbers to
start picking up this week and as we get
nearer to the final event. I did my 'never
again' trick of playing a $175 no limit
single table satellite, never again. A
lot of ring games today with quite a few
50-100, 75-150, and big pot limit going
games upstairs. A lot of satellites too
with not much of a wait for the next one
to start.
Got
to bed at 5 a.m. but set my alarm for
10 a.m. because today was Seidel vs. Chan
day...
