ROBYN
MODER
SUPERVISING PRODUCER
Robyn
Moder brings a dynamic set of skills and
qualities to the World Poker Tour team.
An experienced production manager, Robyn
has extensive experience in both field
and studio settings, having overseen several
production projects at Fox, Warner Brothers,
CBS and Paramount.
Before
embarking on a career in the entertainment
industry, Robyn was Marketing and Visual
Merchandising Coordinator for the San
Diego based apparel manufacturer and designer,
Crazy Shirts Inc, where she created and
managed merchandising programs for 33
of the company's stores in the Western
Region.
Robyn
left the clothing business for the roller-coaster
world of television production, and she
hasn't looked back since. After joining
Fox Television in 1999, she quickly rose
to become Coordinator of Production Operations
and Finance, helping to oversee all phases
of production (from development to post
production) on such shows as AMERICA'S
MOST WANTED, COPS, DIVORCE COURT and POWER
OF ATTORNEY.
Robyn
is ideally suited to the groundbreaking
goals of the WPT. In 2000, Robyn served
as the Production coordinator for six
television pilots for Fox, where she learned
to love the challenge of working on cutting-edge
material. After leaving Fox, Robyn became
Associate Producer for Alvin Toffler's
BEYOND FUTURESHOCK. Just prior to joining
the WPT, she wrapped production on 130
episodes of RENDEZ-VOUS for Paramount
and then went on to serve as the Production
Manager for the acclaimed CBS series,
AMERICAN FIGHTER PILOT.
Like
WPT financial backer, Lyle Berman, Robyn
grew up in Minneapolis and, like most
Minnesotans, loves to be near water and
in nature. Robyn channels much of her
energy into outdoors pursuits, from hiking
and running (she just ran in the LA Marathon)
to skiing, boating, and even mountain-climbing.
Her passion for travel has taken her across
much of the U.S. and Europe.
Robyn
moved to California to attend San Diego
State University, where she earned a B.A.
in Communications with a major in Advertising,
graduating Kappa Tau Alpha in 1993.
